Austin’s Whisler’s is one of its most beloved places to sit back and have a casual drink with friends. The space, which touts two main bars inside, a secret mezcal tasting room, and a large outdoor patio space for enjoying a beverage under the stars, was in great need of a more formal space to sit outdoors. Located on East 6th street, the bar is one of the East side’s higher traffic hot spots, making development pretty tricky. The outdoor space of the bar was therefore simple undeveloped grass and dirt. The clients desired more uniformity while also creating a space that felt comfortable and inspired customers to sit back and stay awhile.

Monark worked with Charles Cupples to design the space, and was able to execute the installation of its 2500 sq ft custom fit limestone patio, custom cut steel planters, posts and fences, and a fully equipped and outdoor ready sound system (designed by the team at Lightstream Presents) in just under two months - all without interrupting the very important and very regular influx of customers every night of the week and throughout the day Thursday - Sunday.
